Eye Candy returns
to Italy with its global outdoor giant screen media concept
to the oldest film event on the planet – the Venice
International Film Festival.
PROJECT SUMMARY
For 62 years, the Venice
International Film Festival has brought movie stars, moguls, and the media to
the Lido, the narrow resort island that separates the Venetian Lagoon from the
Adriatic Sea.
Venice is even more important as a launch pad for Europe's fall movie season.
The festival extends the peak summer season by 10 days.
What makes the "Mostra" different from other festivals?
Federico Fellini once said that for a film director, "entering the Film Palace of the Venice Film Festival, was like passing a final exam." This is the place where film festivals were invented. The Mostra, inaugurated in 1932, is the oldest festival in the world and as part of the Biennale of Venice of course is renowned for its particular sensitivity to film as an Art. Besides this it is ideally scheduled to open the fall theatrical season with the prestigious setting offered by the surrounding town of Venice with its century-long history.
MEDIA ATTENTION?
Some 3000 journalists, film critics, radio and television reporters are attending the Mostra and have privileged access to all the screenings. A film presented at the Mostra attracts world attention.
